To understand its usage, it’s important to think of it as an illuminator rather than your traditional concealer. “Touche Éclat is all about inviting the light to your skin; the finish will be soft and naturally radiant with no glitter or shimmer,” says YSL Beauty’s national makeup artist J. Brandon Correa. Through light-reflecting pigments, ruscus extract, and Moroccan calendula extract, this brightening highlighter pen instantly combats fatigue, dullness, and inelasticity—like a filter in a bottle.

According to Correa, the concealer has multiple uses. To color-correct dark circles, he recommends using a whole number shade as these have peach undertones. To brighten, hydrate first with an eye cream, then layer on a brighter concealer shade to the inner and outer corners of the under-eye. “One click is enough for light coverage for both eyes, but if you desire more coverage, use an additional click,” he says. “Finish by using a small concealer brush to blend or your ring finger for on-the-go application. Setting with a soft, loose powder is optional.”
