Prada Beauty: What you should know about this new line

A long-term license agreement was made between L’Oréal and Prada S.p.A. in 2019, stating that this partnership would take effect on January 1, 2021. Its latest product release, the fragrance Paradoxe, was a hit with its amber floral scent. And it’s inevitable that they venture into makeup. Why partner with L’Oreal just for fragrances?

Just a few days ago, Prada has been posting teasers about their new beauty venture with questions such as “What blends the past into the future?” “Can minimal be maximal?” “Why correct and not adapt?” “What if pigments turn into pixels?” “Is brown the new red?”

Ending the teaser videos with another statement that Prada is rethinking beauty—rethinking skin, color, responsibility, and functionality. “Today, Prada rethinks beauty. Reimagining existing definitions and expectations with an avant-garde vision of beauty activated by tech and creativity,” as captioned in the post.

“We have spent three years crafting and refining each detail of each product,” says Lynsey. “Together, we explored the endless possibilities of bridging the URL and IRL realms. She worked on the pigments, I worked on the pixels. Such an inspiring dialogue, I’ve learnt so much. I can't wait to share more of this project with all of you,” shares Ines.
